Balticon/2010
From RabbitWiki
Cerulean attended this con on Saturday May 29th. He writes:
As I did not schedule any demo space, time, or promotional activity, I went to the con as an unofficial Rabbit, wearing my lab coat anyway.
There was a games dealer present in the dealer hall, this time in the main room rather than in the hallway outside. They were selling a variety of con favorites, including Fluxx (v4.0, Zombie, Monty Python, Martian), Chrononauts, and a lone tube of Treehouse.
I spent most of the day in the game room. My ulterior motive was to playtest my game prototypes, though any LL promotion I could work in would be a bonus. I did manage to play several games of Martian Fluxx with children ages 7 to 12. I also played many games of UberChrononauts with strange adults. (For simplicity of teaching, I omitted the Killing Time rule, and only required one victory condition to be fulfilled. That worked well.) The UberChrono timeline is very distinctive and eye-catching, and many passers-by hollered out "Ooh, Chrononauts! That game is awesome!" I had no problem finding opponents; I just left the game set up and let the timeline be effective bait. Chrononauts is probably the most popular LL game at Balticon, hands-down.
I donated a copy of my game Wanderlust to the library of the Games Club of Maryland.
