Capclave is a very small Science Fiction & Fantasy convention (mostly the former, lightly the latter) held annually in the Maryland suburbs of Washington DC. Capclave is the successor con to Disclave, which holds a special place in Looney Labs and Icehouse history. Disclave 1989 was the venue of the first ever International Icehouse Tournament, and for many, the first public opportunity to buy Icehouse pyramids.

Gaming at Capclave is only allowed in the Con Suite.

Unlike most other conventions which burn the midnight oil, Capclave is very sedate and rolls up the sidewalks early. Almost all official convention activity ends at 10pm, breaking into private parties instead.

The Con Suite provides free and reasonably bottomless snacks and beverages during the event. The hotel is close to the Metro's red line, and many local eateries aren't far away.

Looney Labs games popular with Capclave attendees are Martian Fluxx, Chrononauts, and Icehouse games.
