Conventions ("cons" for short) are where fans of things, including subsets of gamers, gather to share a collective interest. Cons are held in convention centers, hotels, college campuses, and even libraries, and usually span one to five days. Most conventions listed here will fall into two flavors: sci-fi and gaming. Cons are excellent time to introduce LL games to new players, and to meet other LL fans. The biggest event on the LL calendar, The Big Experiment, takes place at a gaming convention, Origins.
