[edit] How to run an ÜberChrononauts Tournament
Here are some ideas for ways to run an ÜberChrononauts Tournament:
[edit] Standalone Style
- Seat players randomly in groups of 3-5.
- Set a timer for each game for an agreeable length of time. All games start and end simultaneously.
- Whenever a player accomplishes one of the three parts of their goal, they are given a Victory Token.
- When the timer rings, all games still incomplete are stopped. All players retain their Victory Tokens as table seating is rearranged for the next round.
- If a game ends in the usual way before the timer rings, the winner gets an extra Victory Token.
- When time remains only for one final round, the 4 players with the most Victory Tokens play a winner-take-all finals round.
- If the clock ends the finals round, the winner is the player with the most Victory Tokens. Ties are broken by their semi-final totals.
[edit] Two-Stage Style
- Run six preliminary tournaments, three for Original Chrononauts, and three for Early American Chrononauts.
- The winners of those tournaments face off in a final game of ÜberChrononauts.
