How to run a Martian Hold'em Tournament

Martian Hold'em is very similar to standard No-Limit Texas Hold'em, except with pyramids instead of poker chips.
[edit] Rules for Martian Hold'em
1.) The standard rules of Texas Hold'em are used.
2.) The pyramids are valued at 1, 5, and 25. Each player typically starts with a full standard stash of Icehouse pieces (face value $1.55, but the buy-in can be any amount if it's a prize-based tourney). Ideally, each player will have a unique color, but this isn't required.
3.) Blinds increase until they reach the maximum shown on the Blinds chart. Some groups use a 15 or 20 minute timer to drive the increase schedule, while others use a system for keeping track of how many rounds have been played. (The blinds go up every X+1 rounds, where X is the number of players you started the game with.) The timer makes more sense for a tournament so that the blinds stay synchronized among all the tables.
4.) When playing simply for the prize Medallion (or other bragging rights), no re-buys are permitted. If it's a cash tournament, make sure everyone knows before starting how many re-buys will be allowed and at what blind level this option will end.
