RabbitWiki:I play gamename as categories

I had a thought, along the lines of the "Conventions as categories" thing.

How about having badges saying "I play Zendo" or "I play Fluxx"

Indeed, you could also do "I demo Zendo" (which assumes the "I play")

would the syntax be something like {{play:zendo}} or {{demo:zendo}} ?

Thanks for posting this. I completely agree. I'd like to see {{user plays zendo}} and {{user demos zendo}} to preserve putting all badges in the User namespace, as suggested by, I believe, Christopher Hickman on the Rabbit mailing list. I envision a section of the user page which looks a lot like those "I CAN DEMO" badges we wear at The Big Experiment, with graphics for all the games people play/demo (particularly demo). Demo would link you into a category so it's easy to find all the Demo Rabbits for a given game. We could maybe use the graphics from the stickers. Magus 14:39, 20 July 2007 (PDT)
Erm, I don't mind the final syntax, I'm not wiki-conversant enough to make that call, but as long as the facility appears... —Timotab 21:10, 20 July 2007 (PDT)
Just posting to say, I agree. Jwolfe 09:42, 21 July 2007 (PDT)
Got my vote in FAVOR. Once we have con badges, it will be trivial to work up game badges by copying the template. However, please limit the verbiage to just "Demos FOO" or "Plays FOO" to keep them as iconic as possible--icons, by definition, are not descriptive. David Artman 07:59, 23 July 2007 (PDT)
