Love, love, LOVE the idea of using the promo card as a "track which games you've played... play X number of games, get Y reward." As I said on the Rabbit list, Freakin' Brilliant.
My one concern - how do we remember this idea? How do we find this idea in 6 months when we've forgotten that it was Timothy, in the Game Store, with the Pipe Wrench? Wait... that's a different game. - Heh. Well, I've linked to Little Experiment in this page, which doesn't yet exist. From my reading of the 'old' rabbit stuff, I think a Little Experiment article, describing how to run demos in stores or similar would be the ideal place.— Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 15:26, 24 September 2007 (PDT)
- How about a page on how to use promo cards? Hmmm... or is that best served on the Little Experiment page that still doesn't exist? Or what about a "here's a great idea" page? No... that would be so overloaded, because there are a ton of great ideas. I'm just wanting to make sure we don't lose this idea to the depths of the wiki, never to be found again. - Given I have a fair experience with Wikipedia, and I have no reason to see that they way they do it shouldn't be replicated here, is you create an article, and all the little bits of that article get expanded until the article gets too big. Then you move the large section out into it's own article, but still refer to it in the main article. White dwarf is an example article - in the subsection I've linked to there, it still briefly describes Type Ia Supernovae, but points out that there's a whole article on the subject. The principle, generally, is if it fits into an existing article, put it there, until that section is big enough to clearly be an article all of its own. I'll be starting on the Little Experiment page soon (promise!), drawing details from the Looney Labs pages, and I'll include the postcard promo idea there— Timotab Timothy (not Tim dagnabbit!) 16:07, 24 September 2007 (PDT)
