[edit] Using This To-Do List

  • Find something in this list you think you can do and add four tildes (~~~~) after the item to "claim" it. This lets others know you are working on it.
  • When you are finished, you can either strikethrough the item like this or you can simply delete it altogether

[edit] To Do

  • Add more things to this To Do list (ongoing)
  • Write a user page for yourself (ongoing). You should at least link to your rabbit bio, if not provide more information.
  • Write an introduction to editing the wiki
  • Create a Working Stub System to better facilitate collaboration.
  • Rewrite the front page to be more useful to new visitors Done. --David Artman 09:55, 28 August 2007 (PDT)
    • Create separate boxes for news and a more static message that explains the wiki
    • Give a brief overview of what the wiki is for and how people can help
  • Figure out our general policies on organization and naming
  • Figure out our general policies on decision making and dispute resolution (yes, this sucks, but we will probably need this and it would be good to have guidelines in place before anything comes up)
  • Design custom stylesheets and templates to make the pages look a little less boring
  • Upload some of the best Rabbit images, and put a rotating image on the front page to add a little more spice
  • Remove the generic MediaWiki links from the navigation bar and replace them with links to sections of the Rabbit Wiki (requires admin privileges)
  • Figure out what we're going to be putting on the wiki, and start making home pages for the different things. Some ideas:
    • Conventions
      • Who's Coordinating and who's attending/has attended (Categories & Badges will soon handle this via inclusion on User pages.)
      • How to find Rabbits for your convention (Probably just a section on the Conventions super-Category page, but could be a whole page.)
      • How to find a convention in your area (Might just be a section of advice, not another Category or functional division of the site.)
    • Demo support materials
      • Finish moving the Rabbit Library to the wiki
      • Tips and tricks of demoing
      • Flyers, handouts, posters, graphics, etc.
    • NON-Icehouse game information pages (Icehouse game info goes on IcehouseGames.org). Some ideas for content:
      • Rules, if Looney Labs will give us permission to post them I disagree; see Talk. --David Artman 12:38, 1 August 2007 (PDT)
      • Variation ideas
      • Errata and clarifications
      • Strategy tips
      • Events specific to that game
      • Tips on demoing that game
      • Game infobox. For inspiration or copying, see the Icehouse wiki infobox.
  • Add an easy way to access articles (such as an index or table of contents) Top-level navigation (Main Page -> Level 2) done; the rest emerges naturally from those primary pages. --David Artman 09:55, 28 August 2007 (PDT)
    • add a Navigation convention for moving up and down a related string. For example, getting back to a Level 2 page from a Level 3. Make this convention an "easy to copy-and-paste" tag for use throughout the wiki. --Carol 16:03, 24 September 2007 (PDT)
